FOOD MADE GOOD Japan Awards for most sustainable restaurants 2023

On November 20, The Capitol Hotel Tokyu hosted the 3rd “FOOD MADE GOOD Japan Awards 2023” organized by the Japan Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA-J), based in Shibuya, Tokyo. The ceremony honored member restaurants that achieved high scores under the “FOOD MADE GOOD Standard” promoted by the UK Sustainable Restaurant Association.

Grand Prize: PIZZERIA GTALIA DA FlLIPPO (Nerima, Tokyo)

The Grand Prize was awarded to PIZZERIA GTALIA DA FlLIPPO in Nerima, Tokyo. Chef Masakazu Iwasawa’s establishment was recognized for its exemplary practices in the categories of procurement, society, and environment, and for serving as a model to other restaurants. Their efforts in visiting natural farms with staff to deepen understanding of food, collaboration with local welfare facilities, and implementation of employee work reforms were highly commended.
