What is Zenbird?
Zenbird is an online magazine that showcases Japan’s sustainable initiatives and the unique appeal of its local communities to a global audience.
At Zenbird, “Zen” represents the Japanese idea of goodness. We chose the name “Zenbird” in the hope that inspiring ideas, socially impactful initiatives, and local practices from across Japan will spread around the world like a bird in flight, drawing attention to the country’s distinctive culture and values.
Zenbird covers social innovation, sustainable lifestyles, local culture, and community-driven solutions that create positive social and environmental impact. We also arrange customised tour programme focused on sustainability and the circular economy, connecting visitors with unique local ideas, cultures, and initiatives throughout Japan.
