Fair trade brand People Tree will introduce a new flavor to its popular fall and winter limited-edition “Fair Trade & Organic Chocolate” lineup in late October. The new addition, “Bitter with Strawberry & Marc de Champagne,” is a 100% vegan chocolate made entirely from organic, plant-based ingredients.
This bittersweet chocolate is infused with Marc de Champagne, a distilled grape spirit from France’s Champagne region, and accented with tangy freeze-dried organic strawberries. With a cacao content of 65% and an alcohol content of 2%, the 50-gram bar will be available for ¥475, including tax.
People Tree’s chocolate stands out for its commitment to organic and fair trade principles. Not only are the main ingredients—cocoa mass, cocoa butter, black sugar, and raw sugar—certified organic, but even the toppings are sourced sustainably. The brand avoids unnecessary additives and relies exclusively on natural agricultural and livestock products.
Look out for the new flavor towards the end of the month, at select stores or People Tree’s online store.
