Hankyu Hanshin Hotels Co., Ltd. has introduced environmentally conscious initiatives aimed at offsetting carbon emissions produced through its services. The company, known for its commitment to sustainability, has launched the “CO2 Zero STAY” accommodation plan and the “CO2 Zero MICE” banquet option.
The “CO2 Zero STAY” initiative offers guests an opportunity to neutralize their carbon footprint during their stay. By investing in reduction activities recognized by the national certification system, “J-Credit,” the program aims to offset 15kg of CO2 emissions per person per night, rendering the stay effectively carbon-neutral.
Alongside this, the “CO2 Zero MICE” option allows event organizers to replace the electricity used at their venues with renewable energy through the Green Power Certificate System. The environmental value of the renewable energy used is calculated, procured, and included in a comprehensive package with post-verification.
