RX Japan Co., Ltd. announced the introduction of the “Food Resource Circulation Fair,” a dedicated event focusing on the circular economy, upcycling, and recycling of food waste. This new initiative will debut at the Food Tech Japan exhibition, scheduled to take place in Tokyo in November 2024 and Osaka in February 2025.
The Food Resource Circulation Fair aims to address the numerous causes of food waste, including defective products from food factories, off-spec items from mega farms, unsold prepared foods and expired products from retailers, kitchen waste and leftovers from restaurants, and surplus inventory of ingredients.
This specialized fair provides a platform for food manufacturers, restaurant chains, and general merchandise stores committed to reducing food waste, allowing them to showcase their products and services. Among the exhibited items will be bio composters, waste oil collection and refining equipment, energy conversion plants, shredding and separation devices, composting plants, inspection and removal equipment, food waste recycling services, and dryers.
Food Tech Japan, known for showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, IoT, and AI, addresses critical industry issues like labor shortages and working environment improvements. With growing public and industry interest in food waste reduction, this year’s exhibition will feature the Food Resource Circulation Fair as a standalone theme.
The Tokyo segment of Food Tech Japan will be held from November 20 to 22, 2024, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. The Osaka exhibition is set for February 25 to 27, 2025, at Intex Osaka.
