NPO ReBit opened Diversity Career Center, specializing in career support for LGBTQ struggling with mental illnesses such as depression and also those with developmental disabilities. ReBit aims to address the specific need for societal understanding and support towards sexual minorities who tend to have a higher risk for depression. The center will serve members of intersectional minority groups as Japan’s first welfare center that offers consultations to meet their special needs while job hunting.
The mayor of Shibuya is expected to attend their grand opening event on December 14.
