AI-powered Spectee Pro aids the Philippines in disaster preparedness

Spectee Inc. has begun expanding its AI-based real-time disaster management solutions, starting with the Philippines. The Tokyo-based company has partnered with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) under JICA’s “SMEs and SDGs Business Support Program,” setting out to introduce Spectee Pro to the Philippines.

The Philippines, a nation prone to typhoons and earthquakes, understands the anxiety of waiting for information, for clarity, for storms to pass. With Spectee Pro, a real-time disaster and crisis management platform powered by AI, the aim is to provide that much-needed clarity. By granting 80 licenses to the Philippine government and related institutions, Spectee is taking its first steps in bringing resilience to a region facing the unpredictability of natural disasters.

This implementation comes after feasibility studies and pilot testing, designed to ensure that local needs are understood and addressed. Like Japan, the Philippines understands the reality of vulnerability. At the same time, the young people are ready to embrace digital solutions. The hope is to support the Filipino community in building a deeper resilience, a sense of agency, even when facing the immense forces of nature.

Spectee Pro is already in its operational phase. The platform draws from social media, weather reports, vehicle probes, and thousands of cameras to create a network of real-time information. The data provides information and alerts, thus providing users a form of reassurance in the face of disasters.

Spectee moves forward and continues to listen to their Filipino users, adapting to their feedback, and continuing to refine Spectee Pro’s ability to meet local needs.
