PIZZA DAY launches project for earth-friendly, biodegradable boxer shorts

Circular apparel brand PIZZA DAY has announced the development of biodegradable boxer shorts. This release, which is targeted for a spring release, follows the successful launch of a merino wool T-shirt last October, marking the brand’s second project in its sustainable fashion lineup. It is also a welcome stride towards a circular economy, where waste is minimized, and resources are endlessly recycled.

The project follows the successful release of Merino wool T-shirts last October. With an emphasis on community involvement, PIZZA DAY has introduced a unique process economy. Fans can participate in the product development through voting and enjoy a transparent view of the creative and production processes. This initiative is part of a broader movement to make the entire lifecycle of a product—from conception to sale—an engaging and open experience for consumers.

Crafted from 100% New Zealand Merino wool and finished in Bishu, one of the world’s premier wool-producing regions, these boxer shorts promise utmost comfort. They are designed to provide optimal temperature regulation, moisture control, and deodorization, ensuring comfort in any season.

PIZZA DAY plans to repurpose the leftover materials from production, such as surplus fabric and cutting scraps, for fertilization activities. The brand is also developing a future scheme to collect and fertilize worn-out garments from customers, further reducing environmental impact and accelerating a circular economy.
