TOKIARI, a Kyoto-based fashion brand, will present its latest 25AW “WABI-SABI ~Stains of Time” collection in Tokyo and Kyoto. Founded in 2022, the brand is deeply inspired by wabi-sabi, the Japanese philosophy that values imperfection and the passage of time.

Central to this collection is the ZEAMI coat. The use of Sakiori, a traditional weaving method that transforms old textiles into new fabrics, represents renewal and sustainability. Additionally, gibier leather adds a further layer of sustainability in fashion.

These pieces also interact with their environment, harmonizing with the wearer and surroundings. The fabrics evolve over time, softening and developing unique characteristics, echoing the wabi-sabi principle of embracing change. This collection is designed to age beautifully and gain depth through years of wear.
As time passes, the fabrics mold to the wearer’s life, creating a distinctive patina and deepening in appeal. The true beauty of these garments lies in their ever-evolving nature, shaped by experience and time.
This collection invites individuals to honour the beauty of imperfection, and experience fashion that grows richer with time.
