Megloo reusable containers trial begins in Shibuya

Kaman Co. Ltd. is launching a trial service for Megloo reusable containers for takeout and delivery from various stores and food trucks. The trial will run for one month, from January 24 to February 23, in the Shibuya City area.

Following a successful test in October, Kaman has expanded the list of food service providers to include five food trucks under Workstore Tokyo Do and food establishments that offer delivery services through Wolt.

Kaman aims to reduce the use of disposable containers for takeout and delivery by offering a reusable container sharing service. The company’s survey with users of co-working spaces showed that 65% of users expressed interest in using Megloo. To support this interest, Megloo has increased the number of locations where containers can be returned.

Kaman has partnered with 14 stores to offer free delivery within 2 km in order to attract customers. A map is available to show the locations of the food trucks, Wolt-available stores, and return spots (in Japanese).
