Japanese nail brand “cirila” launched nationwide cancer patient support

IML, a company that operates cosmetic brands, announced that it will donate nail polish equivalent to 1% of sales of all “cirila” nail polish products to cancer patients nationwide. This project starts on World Cancer Day, February 4.

Discoloration in nails is believed to occur because they are part of the skin and have an active metabolism, and anticancer drugs impair their growth. The brand will deliver cirila nail polish to medical institutions that provide anticancer treatment nationwide.

Cirila nail polishes are formulated with natural shea butter that is gentle on nails. They also use fair trade ingredients for their products to support women in Ghana.
