Kyoto to host 3rd Organic Lifestyle EXPO West this month

The 3rd Organic Lifestyle EXPO West will be held in Kyoto at the Miyako Messe exhibition centre on 12 and 13 June 2026. The event serves as a platform for the organic industry in the Kansai region, focusing on the theme that organic agriculture is a tool for community building. Approximately 120 companies and organisations will display 150 booths to showcase products and services to both industry professionals and general consumers.

The exhibition aims to facilitate business matching and regional revitalisation through various specialised zones. These include a market for new farmers, an organic and sustainable restaurant food court, and dedicated areas for natural cosmetics and ethical fashion. The event also features a traditional heritage corner and the Hakutoya exhibition, highlighting the cultural aspects of sustainable living.

A key theme for the 2026 programme is “Shift-Sustainability”, which encourages a transition from mere organic consumption to a future defined by regeneration and co-creation. Organisers will host the National Organic Village Coordination Forum, and bring together local governments that have committed to the “Organic Village” declaration to share practical examples of sustainable regional development and explore new collaboration opportunities.

Several concurrent programmes are also planned at the event. The 4th National Solar Sharing Festival will address the integration of renewable energy and agriculture. Additionally, the 3rd Kids Award Kyoto will feature a food-themed drawing contest for children.
