Junkan Fes returns on November 12 to circulate fashion

Junkan Fes will return on November 12 at Umekoji Park’s Shichijo Entrance Plaza in Kyoto City. In event of rain, the event will postpone to December 16.

Initiated in 2022, the fest brings together young individuals and industry players committed to reuse and sustainability. Centered on Kyoto City, it aims to establish a new trend of resource circularity that resonates with the younger generation.

The festival lineup features an assortment of events, including a “¥0 Market,” which allows participants to donate and collect used clothing at no cost. Besides engaging workshops and exhibitions that make sustainability fun, the event will also offer a food court that uses carefully selected, high-quality ingredients.

Social experiments form a part of the event’s agenda, with one focus being the measurement of CO2 reduction achieved through the reuse of clothing. This integration of scientific metrics underscores the practical impact of sustainable practices on the environment.
