Gateway to Sustainability in Japan

Yurakucho Marui to host De-Plastic festival 29-30 July

Embracing a movement that has touched the lives of nearly 300 million people worldwide, Yurakucho Marui will host a sustainable event, the “De-Plastic Lifestyle Support Fest,” over two days — July 29th and 30th.

This event is geared towards fostering easy and enjoyable interaction with sustainability initiatives. It notably aligns with the “Plastic Free July®” movement, an Australia-based global effort aiming to reduce disposable plastic consumption.

The fest aims to make sustainability a fun and accessible experience for anyone who attends, an approach in line with the ‘joyful engagement.’

In addition to the wealth of information provided, attendees can expect a roster of interactive experiences. The schedule includes four talk sessions where experts will discuss sustainability, hands-on workshops, and a multitude of shops committed to the de-plastic movement. Plus, a showcase exhibit will be a focal point, displaying innovations and advances in sustainable living.

By combining education and entertainment, the De-Plastic Life Support Fest at Yurakucho Marui looks set to make an important contribution to global efforts towards sustainability, one joyful interaction at a time.
