GREEN FLAG Co., Ltd. revealed its Rebornfiber® Board, a recycled fiber felt designed to drive a circular economy for textiles. In partnership with Oki Circular Design Lab and wawawa LLC, the company’s project in Ama Town, Oki District, Shimane Prefecture, transforms discarded clothing into reusable resources.

Rebornfiber® Board is made entirely from recycled textiles without the need for water or adhesives. Its customizable thickness and hardness allow for diverse applications, from accessories and furniture to signage, displays, and construction materials.
In November 2024, about 100 kg of used clothing was collected from local residents through designated collection boxes. The textile was repurposed into Rebornfiber® Board, which was then incorporated into furniture for the town hall, including the reception desk, shelving, and community bulletin boards.

GREEN FLAG held a hand-opn workshop in January 2025 to engage the local community and explored more ways to use their new material. Participants crafted everyday items such as planter bags and laptop cases. Each Rebornfiber® piece carried a unique pattern and texture, sparking creativity and discussions among attendees.
The Rebornfiber® initiative is a key step toward reducing waste and rethinking consumption habits, bringing a mindset of circulation to Ama Town.
