List of Climate Action with FFF Japan for 0303

3 March is the “Global Day of Climate Action,” where young people around the world take actions such as marches and standing to protest against the current response to climate change. Have you decided on what action you will be joining?

Fridays For Future Japan (FFF Japan) will hold an online event on 21 March 21st after waiting for actions to be completed in various parts of Japan. They will report on the world simultaneous climate action in each region, and also discuss our future activities after participating in COP27 last year. Here are two key actions that you can consider joining:

Tweet Storm Event – “Climate crisis can be stopped” (“気候危機は止められる”)
Date and Time: 3 March 2023 (Friday), 6pm onwards
Method: Tweet with #気候危機は止められる and freely express your thoughts on climate crisis, the society you want to realize, and your experiences related to climate change. Let’s trend on Twitter!

World Climate Action Report Online Event
Title: Our declaration to not give up on solving the climate crisis – World Climate Action Report Meeting
Date and Time: 31 March 2023 (Tuesday) 6pm~7pm
Contents: Fridays For Future Japan will report on the world simultaneous climate action by FFF in various parts of Japan on Zoom. We will also discuss our future activity plan that has become visible through our participation in COP27.

Sendai (FFF Sendai)

Date and Time: 3 March (Friday) 3:30pm~
Location: Meet at Sakaemachi Park (1-2-2 Kokubuncho, Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture), march to Koyo-dai Park, then to Sendai City Hall
Details: Two organizations, Fridays For Future Sendai and the Lifeline Free-of-Charge Project, will collaborate to hold an action and demonstration, demanding that Sendai City take unique measures against poverty and climate change to support people who are suffering from energy poverty.

Tokyo (FFF Tokyo)

Date and Time: 31 March (Tuesday) 10am~11am
Location: Shinjuku Ward Kakusuke Regional Center
Details: This offline event will allow citizens to discuss “the GX we really want” as the Japanese government pushes for a GX with insufficient national debate within a short period of time. After listening to various guest speakers, participants will think about their ideal GX from their own perspectives.
