Ltd., a subsidiary of the Keihan Group, has announced that its mixed-use commercial facility GOOD NATURE STATION and GOOD NATURE HOTEL KYOTO will switch to 100% renewable energy through the use of non-fossil fuel certificates starting in 2023. This move is part of the company’s commitment to the BIOSTYLE PROJECT, which aims to create a circular society where eco-friendly practices are easily and enjoyably integrated into daily life.
As the flagship facility of the BIOSTYLE initiative, GOOD NATURE STATION has been promoting a lifestyle that incorporates environmentally friendly choices without compromising the well-being of both people and nature. The decision to transition to renewable energy sources aligns with the project’s goals and reinforces the company’s dedication to sustainability.
The facility has already received a silver ranking in LEED certification, highlighting its environmental performance in architecture and urban settings. The company has implemented various energy-saving measures, such as using high-efficiency lighting and equipment, human sensors for energy conservation, water-saving shower systems, and solar panels for electricity generation.
By introducing renewable energy, GOOD NATURE STATION and GOOD NATURE HOTEL KYOTO will further contribute to global environmental conservation and promote decarbonization.
