Value HR Co., Ltd. announced it will launch a new AI-powered function, the “Health Prediction” tool, integrated into the company’s Health Checkup Result Management System, aims to help users prevent lifestyle diseases by forecasting their health status three years into the future.
The company identified a need for a tool that helps individuals, particularly younger people or those less concerned with their health, to understand future risks as a personal matter and encourage early intervention. Lifestyle diseases often progress without noticeable symptoms, making preventative action a challenge.
The Health Prediction function uses an individual’s latest health checkup results to forecast 12 key metrics, including BMI, blood pressure, glucose metabolism, and liver function. Based on these predictions, it presents the user’s risk level for four major lifestyle-related conditions: diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and liver dysfunction.
A central feature is the “Lifestyle Improvement Challenge” simulation. Users can select potential changes to their habits, such as diet, exercise, or alcohol consumption. The system then provides a real-time simulation showing how these changes could alter their predicted health outcomes in three years. This allows users to identify effective, personalised strategies for health improvement.
The prediction algorithm was developed under the supervision of Professor Yoshinori Tamada from Hirosaki University’s Graduate School of Medicine. The model is built on academic insights from large-scale health data gathered by the university, combined with Value HR’s expertise in lifestyle disease improvement.
The tool aims to shift users’ mindsets from “I’m fine for now” to “I should start now,” providing a catalyst for preventative action. For companies and health insurance associations, it offers a cost-effective way to promote health across their entire population.
