The UK-origin charity organization, RED BOX JAPAN, aims to support students during their menstrual period by donating boxes filled with free menstrual products to schools. They have recently made a donation of menstrual products to Fujieda City in Shizuoka Prefecture. Starting July 2023, these supplies will be installed at 13 community exchange centers within Fujieda City.
RED BOX JAPAN will provide menstrual products at 13 Fujieda City community exchange centers, available for free for students and local residents alike. The facilities include Setotani Community Exchange Center, Inaba Community Exchange Center, Hani Community Exchange Center, Hirohata Community Exchange Center, West Masu Community Exchange Center, Fujieda Community Exchange Center, Fujieda Community Exchange Center West Building, Aoshima North Community Exchange Center, Aoshima South Community Exchange Center, Takasu Community Exchange Center, Ohsu Community Exchange Center, Okabe Branch Library, and Cultural Center.
The organization’s goal is to support students during their menstrual cycles by filling red boxes with menstrual products and donating them to schools. In Japan, it was established in December 2019 and operates nationally as RED BOX JAPAN.
