Eco-conscious bag brand FUMIKODA is unveiling its latest product line, featuring Japanese-made biomass vegan leather. To kick off the launch, FUMIKODA will host a press release and exhibition event at their Nakameguro shop on 11 April.
Numerous plant-based vegan leather products have already available on the market; however, the majority are developed by international manufacturers, raising concerns about the CO2 emissions resulting from transportation.
In a commitment to sustainability, FUMIKODA ensures that all aspects of manufacturing, from material production to sewing, are completed domestically in Japan. The raw materials for the “biomass vegan leather” are all sourced from items that would otherwise be discarded within the country.
This innovative biomass vegan leather utilizes bamboo from overgrown forests, shells left over from food processing, apple pulp from juice production, and damaged or broken rice grains to create a truly sustainable product.

FUMIKODA upcoming exhibition event will be held on 11 April 11 from 3~6pm FUMIKODA SHOP, located on the 3rd floor of the Asahibashi Building.
