Dai-ei Environmental Co., Ltd., Resource Circulation Systems Co., Ltd., Yagikuma Co., Ltd., and Uniadex, Ltd. have launched the “iCEP PLASTICS Total Recycling Coordination Service” to address plastic waste in the construction industry. It focuses on circulating waste plastics from non-residential construction sites managed by Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd., tracking waste from project start to completion.
The construction sector generates significant plastic waste, with non-residential projects producing mixed waste often incinerated or landfilled due to limited recycling options. To combat this, the four companies have merged their expertise under iCEP PLASTICS to enhance circulating the material throughout the construction process.

A detailed waste composition survey was conducted at Daiwa House Industry’s construction sites. Waste generation was tracked through various construction phases, identifying recyclable plastics for potential reuse in construction products such as safety equipment.
Building on these findings, the initiative aims to improve waste plastic selection processes, develop recycled construction material prototypes, and establish better sorting and storage procedures at construction and waste processing sites, working toward a closed-loop circulating system.
Resource Circulation Systems plans to extend this model through the “iCEP” resource circulation platform, designed to promote cross-industry collaboration by integrating waste management systems. This platform seeks to transform waste into valuable resources at a societal level.
By leveraging each company’s strengths in waste collection, resin recycling, moulding, and product development, the initiative will offer a seamless, one-stop circulating service.
