Circular Curation to help firms track overseas circular economy trends

Harch Inc., a company focused on web media and circular economy support, launched a new bespoke information service this month to help businesses navigate the complexities of the global circular economy. The service, named “Circular Curation”, provides weekly, tailored insights to support strategic planning and new business development.

Companies face increasing pressure to adapt to international circular economy regulations, such as the European Union’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation and the Digital Product Passport. Keeping pace with overseas policy, technological innovation, and competitor activities has become a critical management issue. However, language barriers and the sheer volume of daily information make it difficult for businesses to identify strategically valuable intelligence.

The company developed the service to fill what it calls a ‘strategic information gap’ for businesses. It leverages the expertise and editorial insight from its specialised media outlet, Circular Economy Hub. Each week, a specialist curator will analyse global news and deliver 10 to 12 curated items with Japanese summaries.

The service is not “simple news offerings” and “providing materials for the next decisive move in business or management”. Rather, the key feature of Circular Curation is its bespoke nature. The service delivers completely specialised information based on each client’s specific areas of interest, which can include particular industries like manufacturing or finance, themes such as resource recovery technology or bio-materials, and specific geographic regions.

The launch of the service will limit itself to five companies. Harch plans to use this initial phase to further refine its curation accuracy according to client needs, with the future goal of expanding the service to support a wider range of companies and more advanced decision-making.
