Kyoto’s GOOD NATURE STATION will hold Start Wellness 2026 from 3 October to 1 November, an event offering visitors the opportunity to adopt healthy lifestyle habits through physical movement and sustainable practices in the heart of Shijo Kawaramachi.
The event features an Autumn Plogging Day, which combines jogging with litter collection on the streets of Kyoto. After completing the route, participants get to eat onigiri rice balls made with Enko Rice. Local farmers cultivate this rice using compost generated from food waste collected at GOOD NATURE STATION, and this will allow attendees to experience a direct application of circular agriculture.

The event also includes a partnership with MES VACANCES, a sustainable beauty and fashion brand directed by actor Kou Shibasaki. The brand will hold an exhibition on the fourth floor of GOOD NATURE STATION from 3 to 12 October. On the opening day, Pilates instructor Eve leads a wellness session, guiding participants through breathing and posture exercises. Furthermore, the venue will be part of Kyoto Urban Sports Day on 31 October, which includes a free double dutch class for elementary school students to promote physical activity among the younger generation.

Throughout the event duration, the third floor studio functions as a dedicated stretch and self-care space. Visitors can access a night stretching video supervised by Eve and use various self-care tools. The facility also broadcasts this instructional video on tablet devices in its adjoining hotel rooms, integrating wellness into the accommodation experience.

Participation is largely free, with specific programmes requiring a fee.
