RYOZAN PARK GREEN, an environment-focused shared office space, aims to blend modern urban development with sustainability, supporting entrepreneurs dedicated to tackling environmental issues and urban agriculture.
The facility is designed by architect Akihisa Hirata, and integrates shared offices, residences, and a ground-floor restaurant within a single building. Its design emphasizes harmony with the adjacent park, creating a semi-public space that fosters community interaction and revitalizes the urban environment. Hirata envisioned the project as a collaboration with individuals seeking sanctuaries in the city, believing that urban spaces can be transformed into enjoyable and breathable areas with the right imagination.
The building features a multifunctional “Laboratory” meeting room with waterproof flooring to support activities like hydroponics and experiments, adapting to the evolving needs of its users. The facility encourages working in the park or the rooftop garden, offering a rare blend of urban and natural workspaces.
Residents of the upper floors are engaged in composting and soil creation programs, actively participating in a circular economy. The facility’s incubation manager provides entrepreneurial consultations, job matching, and information exchange, fostering a supportive environment for green innovation.
The eco-friendly initiatives involves community members, including Girl Scouts and local neighborhood associations, collaborate in cultivating a community garden in the nearby park. RYOZAN PARK GREEN hosts regular events such as harvest festivals, disaster drills, and communal meals, reinforcing the bond between the building’s occupants and the local community.
Integrating sustainable practices with urban living, RYOZAN PARK GREEN shows us how cities can be both dynamic and environmentally responsible.
