This Mother’s Day, why not trade urban noise for the tranquility of Kitamoto City? Just an hour north of Tokyo, NPO itsWellness’s exclusive one-day forest wellness escape, tailored specifically for city dwellers, offers more than just a breath of fresh air.
Scheduled for the peak of spring, when Kitamoto is draped in the freshest blooms, the day promises an authentic Japanese forest bathing experience, guided by certified experts. But that’s just the beginning. Alongside the regenerative escape, participants will enjoy a guided tour that includes local shrines, vegetarian cuisine, and a visit to a working farm—all crafted to deepen your connection with the local culture.
What to Expect?
Your journey starts at 9 AM at Kitamoto Station, easily accessible by a direct train from central Tokyo. Opt for our free accompanying service from JR Tokyo Station, perfect for those unfamiliar with Tokyo’s greater transportation network. The day is structured to immerse you in the natural beauty and pastoral life of Kitamoto, beginning with forest bathing in the Kitamoto Nature Observation Park and followed by a leisurely 6 km countryside walk.
At 1 PM, relish a local vegetarian lunch at the Kitamoto Camp Field, where the conversation flows as freely as the nearby streams. Post-lunch, explore sacred shrines and a local farm, gaining insights into the spiritual and agricultural practices that respect and enhance the forest ecosystem.
Who Will Guide You?
Led by a national government-licensed guide interpreter and a certified forest therapy guide, this tour is not just a walk in the woods but an educational venture that offers regenerative tips to incorporate into your own urban lifestyle.

Special Price
Offered at a special rate of ¥7,920, the experience includes all activities, barring a modest ¥1,000 for a hearty local lunch and any personal expenses like souvenirs. Please note that transportation costs to the meeting point are not covered.
