The retreat, which opened in April 2022 on Awaji Island, provides a day trip filled with activities such as “Zen Wellness” meditation and “Zenbou cuisine” – dishes made without sugar, oil, dairy, flour, or animal products. Guests can take advantage of the serene island environment, far from the daily grind, and experience mindfulness by embracing the present moment.
The package includes a one-night stay with breakfast at either Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland, offering guests the opportunity to unwind while enjoying the sea breeze and views of Kobe Harbor.
The accommodations are located on the floor below the top floor, where activities such as meditation and yoga take place. The rooms are minimal and functional, and offers an appropriate level of narrowness is essential for creating a calming and peaceful space.
Japanese cuisine naturally incorporates fermented ingredients. The chef’s natural, stress-free approach to seasonal food and nature contributes to creating a better intestinal environment for guests.
Prices for the retreat experience, including Zenbou cuisine, start at ¥81,860 (about $718) per room for two guests at Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland. The Western-style “La Suite Breakfast” highlights local ingredients from the five prefectures of Hyogo and is served via room service.
