Yokohama City and RX Japan announced they will jointly launch a major exhibition, International Circular Expo, scheduled for 2027. It will take place from 31 August to 2 September 2027 at Pacifico Yokohama, coinciding with the GREEN EXPO 2027.

The exhibition focuses on five core pillars of resource circulation themes: materials, industrial waste, energy, water, and circular cities. It aims to host 350 exhibitors and attract approximately 30,000 participants. A dedicated pavilion for start-up companies is also planned to foster new business solutions within the sector.
The event will also include several specialised expos. The Circular City Expo targets local governments, construction firms, and developers, while the Sustainable Material Expo features bioplastics, recycled materials, and long-life components. The Recycle Tech Expo focuses on chemical and mechanical recycling equipment. Additionally, the Circular Energy Expo covers waste heat recovery and hydrogen implementation, and the Industrial Water Circular Expo addresses wastewater treatment and reuse systems.
Yokohama City intends to use this collaboration to attract international talent and businesses, enhancing its value as a global hub for sustainability. The city combines its urban strategy with RX Japan’s international network and expertise in large-scale event management. Gather industry leaders, government officials, and international organisations could drive business opportunities. A launch presentation and networking session for potential exhibitors will be held on 23 July 2026 at Bellesalle Nihonbashi in Tokyo.
