Gateway to Sustainability in Japan

Tokyo’s 8th annual Organic Lifestyle EXPO 2023 on Sept 14

The Organic Forum Japan (OFJ) announced the upcoming 8th annual “Organic Lifestyle EXPO 2023.” The event is slated to run from September 14 to 16 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho Building.

This expo, recognized both domestically and internationally, centers on organics as the foundational principle. It looks to foster the healthy growth and widespread acceptance of lifestyle businesses, all with the overarching aim of realizing a sustainable society.

Notably, this year will also see the introduction of the “Sustainable★Selection EXPO.” Spearheaded by the General Incorporated Association for Sustainable Management, this additional platform will showcase selected sustainable products and services from across the country. The goal? To foster a deeper understanding of pressing social issues among industry stakeholders and the public.

Moreover, a prelude to the main event, the “Organic Conference 2023,” is set to kick off as “ORGANIC WEEK” starting September 1. This segment, organized around the Japanese Organic Meeting Executive Committee, will feature discussions centered on the challenges and practical strategies tied to organic promotion. These conversations will be both in-person and online, spanning three days from September 14, directly at the EXPO venue.

Those interested in attending or participating can register via the official event website.

With a focus on sustainable and ethical design philosophies, the organizers promise to make aware of current global movements: from sustainable management and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to decarbonization and the circular economy.
