LPC JAPAN STUDIO Ginza Main Store opened this month, a facility that is designed to provide immersive Japanese cultural experiences. It combines hands-on workshops, a cafe serving traditional cuisine, and a retail space.
The Ginza flagship store aims to make Japanese culture accessible to both international tourists and domestic visitors. The facility is designed so that cultural experiences, dining, and shopping are interconnected. Guests can participate and gain a multi-dimensional understanding of Japanese heritage without prior knowledge or preparation.

The workshop area offers a diverse range of programmes covering both traditional and contemporary culture. Participants can engage in tea ceremonies, Japanese confectionery making, and yukata dressing. The studio also includes modern cultural elements such as manga drawing and “oshi-nui” (plushie) crafting. Other activities include ukiyo-e woodblock print colouring, kumiki coaster assembly, and ninja experiences. Instructors provide support for all sessions to ensure that beginners and foreign visitors can participate with ease.
The dining section comprises “MATCHA CAFE & STUDIO” and “Gohan Meijin.” The menu includes matcha-based beverages and pancakes, alongside traditional staples such as onigiri and tamago-kake-gohan (raw egg over rice). To support regional revitalisation, the facility uses Nita-mai Koshikari rice from Shimane Prefecture. This specific variety has previously received gold awards in rice quality competitions.
The retail space stocks a variety of items that reflect Japanese craftsmanship and culture. Available products include ukiyo-e prints, traditional crafts, tea utensils, and ninja-themed goods. The shop also features character-themed merchandise and confectionery to appeal to families and diverse age groups. This retail component allows visitors to purchase items related to their workshop experiences, thereby supporting the continuity of traditional industries.

This is the second LPC JAPAN STUDIO store, after the first successful opening in Asakusa.
