Postpartum care app analyzes moms’ mental and physical state
Pola Corporation launched the postpartum care app “mamaniere.” Utilizing the skin analysis technology employed by Pola’s personalized service brand APEX, the app analyzes the current mental and physical state from facial photos. It offers care information tailored to postpartum concerns and parenting advice based on the child’s age.
App overview
Point 1:
Using Pola’s facial analysis tech, the app checks your mental and physical state after childbirth by analyzing factors like body fatigue, mental balance and heart rate based on a photo of your face. It works with or without makeup, and you can easily share the results with your family.
Point 2:
The app gives personalized recommendations for care and info based on your postpartum state and the baby’s age, covering ways to address concerns, support for families with infants, tips for an enjoyable life with a baby and parenting advice tailored to the baby’s age.
Recognizing the challenges faced by postpartum women and the prevalence of postpartum depression, Pola aims to support mothers during this critical period, encouraging them to prioritize self-care and enjoy a fulfilling time with their newborns.
Maternity Absorbent Shorts support prenatal and postnatal urinary leakage
Neith Co., Ltd. (pronounced “Neito”) launched “Maternity Absorbent Shorts,” designed to support urinary leakage during pregnancy and postpartum, through a collaboration between the lifestyle brand “Rinē” and the pregnancy and parenting app series “ninaru.”
Rinē, as a lifestyle brand that accompanies women throughout their lives, has received numerous inquiries from users about urinary leakage during pregnancy and postpartum while selling absorbent shorts and bralettes. Users expressed challenges such as wanting to utilize existing absorbent shorts for urinary leakage but finding them too tight on the abdomen or facing mismatched positions of the absorbent surface in sanitary products.
According to a pre-survey targeting ninaru users, nearly 70% experienced urinary leakage during both pregnancy and postpartum periods, indicating that urinary leakage is a common concern in the pre and postnatal stages. Regarding the frequency of urinary leakage, over 70% responded with two to three times a week or more, and approximately 30% reported experiencing it every day.
Furthermore, the survey results on the duration of urinary leakage revealed an increasing trend from the mid-term of pregnancy, and for some individuals, it continued for a year and a half to two years, emphasizing that this is not a short-term concern.
Rinē has developed shorts for urinary leakage by layering highly absorbent fabric with a high ammonia deodorization rate and quick-drying fabric. This design incorporates absorbency, deodorizing power and comfort (due to the quick-drying feature), allowing for extended and confident wear over long periods.
Through eco-conscious design and material choices, the brands prioritize both maternal well-being and environmental responsibility, reflecting a commitment to a greener and more inclusive approach to maternity care.
