New circular tire stoppers reduce physical burden for logistics drivers

Bezel Co., Ltd. launched a circular tire stopper named HOLDEN+ that improves safety and reduce physical strain for drivers in the logistics industry, remanufactured from old tire stoppers.

The stopper weighs approximately 460g, which is much lighter than conventional alternatives. This design addresses the needs of elderly and female drivers who manage heavy equipment during daily operations. Bezel applied computer-aided engineering (CAE) analysis to ensure the product maintains high strength despite its reduced weight.

The black model of HOLDEN+ consists of 100% recycled polypropylene derived from manufacturing waste. The company collects old tire stoppers from partners to remanufacture them into new products, thus helping to reduce industrial waste.

To improve usability, the stoppers include internal magnets. This allows two units to be stored together as a set, preventing them from becoming scattered inside vehicles or storage areas. Currently, production is limited to several hundred sets per month due to global material shortages, but the company ensures high quality for each unit produced.

The logistics sector currently faces labour shortages and an ageing workforce. Developments that combine environmental responsibility with improved working conditions provide a pathway for sustainable regional revitalisation.
