Halal Travel Japan Planner uses AI to tailor trips for Muslim visitors

The Halal Travel Japan Planner integrates ChatGPT with Food Diversity’s extensive database from its Halal Media Japan information site. The AI then generates personalised travel plans that balance sightseeing with religious requirements, such as meal options and prayer times. For travellers seeking more detailed assistance, the company also offers a paid concierge service with multilingual staff who can make further adjustments.

The company has already supported over 50 groups of Muslim travellers since its service began in 2023, receiving positive feedback. These feedback include the value of direct communication, usefulness for multi-generational travel and comprehensive nature of the planning.

Food Diversity intends to make Muslim-friendly travel planning more accessible to a wider audience by expanding its content, focusing on unique Japanese cultural experiences that cater to the needs of Muslim visitors.
