ANCHOR MARKET gathering for mothers and children in Fukuyama

Sustainable hotel ANCHOR HOTEL FUKUYAMA will soon reopen its ANCHOR MARKET this coming April, an enjoyable market to connect people through all things Hiroshima and Fukuyama. More than just a simple market, ANCHOR MARKET’s main crowd is mothers with small children who are doing their best to raise them during the coronavirus pandemic.

Childbearing is a challenge in itself, and COVID adds layers of difficulty while mothers have less conventional support. Some even go through postpartum depression. The market will be a welcome breath of fresh air for mothers and their children.

Workshops and hands-on experience (such as ceramic art) that even preschoolers can enjoy will be available at the market. There will also be rosette-making popular with pregnant women and moms with small children, commemorative photo-taking with a seasonal spring touch, and workshops to create colorful decorations to brighten the home. The organizers wish that the workshops and store owners will bring a smile to everyone.

On top of that, ANCHOR MARKET plans to bring in more food and beverage owners to set up a stall than before. A theme of ANCHOR HOTEL FUKUYAMA is travel, and the organizers want to pair it up with good food. It’ll also boost owners who have been affected by the pandemic.
